Your Wedding

At

Roser Memorial

Community Church

The Roser Chapel and Sanctuary are available for your wedding ceremony, however; rehearsal dates and times must be arranged with our Wedding Coordinator, so there will be no conflict with other church activities.  Our Wedding Coordinator will help you with your planning in the weeks and days prior to your wedding service and will be present to assist you in any way at the rehearsal and wedding ceremony.

The Pastor will arrange details of your ceremony with you. Premarital counseling (six hours) is required by the Roser Church Pastors.  In the spirit of friendliness and confidentiality, you can discuss your hopes concerns, love and caring for each other. It is suggested that you arrange to meet with the pastor well in advance in order to plan a service that is personal and meaningful. Music should be in keeping with the reverence that is observed by a regular church service.  Our church organist is available to you, otherwise permission to use the organ either in the Sanctuary or Chapel must be cleared by our Music Director.

Decorations should be as simple as possible.  No decorations shall be fastened to the woodwork or furniture with pins, tacks, staples or tape. Decorations may be delivered 2 hours prior to the ceremony.  Florists are to place carpet protection under all plants.  The pulpit and other furniture can be removed from the platform but only by church staff.

The sound system, if you wish to use it, will be run by our technicians only. Your wedding can be recorded for an additional fee.

Photographers and guest should be instructed that no flash pictures may be taken during the ceremony in order not to distract from the religious sphere. Video taping is allowed from a designated stationary position. Chancel and alter pictures may be taken after the ceremony has concluded, not to exceed one hour. To allow for this it is suggested that you hold your receiving line at your wedding reception.

Designated rooms are available for dressing at the church two hours prior to the ceremony. There will be no smoking in any of the church buildings and alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on church promises.

Our Chapel and Sanctuary are available at a modest cost for the weddings of couples having no affiliation with our church, but it is our policy that only members and friends of Roser Memorial Community Church may use the church facilities for a wedding reception. The refreshments must be very simple, such as cake, appetizers and punch.

Use of our Chapel as a rain date alternative may only be reserved by our clergy and those known to us. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit must be paid to hold a date. If the Chapel is used, the standard fee must be paid. The officiating Pastor is responsible to open, close the Chapel and leave it in good order.

The throwing of rice or birdseed is prohibited both in and outside the Chapel and Sanctuary.

To assist you in financial planning for your wedding the fees are:

Sanctuary (425 seats) $250.00

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date and time on the church calendar. This will be applied toward the fee for the use of the Sanctuary or Chapel. Building usage fees are waived to members and families of Roser Memorial Community Church.
